A great idea for a student thesis. Where’s Wally?

May 13, 2008

(or Waldo, apparently, if you’re from the other side of the Atlantic).
A girl from Vancouver has just submitted her final year art project. She has created a 50 foot tall ‘Where’s Wally?’ and stuck it on the roof of a building in Vancouver and then challenged folk to play, using Google Earth, a real life version of ‘Where’s Wally?’

You can see her blog here.

She just found out that she got an A for her project. Good to know that a nice simple idea can still do it.

I love this idea. It’s very clever because the creator “steals” google earth to make their concept work. And of course it cost them nothing to do. Sounds like being creative in Scotland.
