A hot day out.

May 21, 2008

Last weekend Maisie and I went to the Royal Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh. We chose to visit the Glasshouses which house all the temperate specimens and, more importantly for Maisie, a huge collection of Koi carp.
The gardens themselves are a treat, and we’re lucky to have them for our enjoyment. Even the entrance gate is a joy to behold. Here’s Maisie posing in front of the gate.

The gardens themselves are free to roam and enjoy and offer an amazingly large, tranquil space right in the centre of the city. There’s always something on, and at weekends they tend to offer things for all the family to enjoy. See what’s on by clicking here.

And, in the interests of keeping Maisie happy, here’s a picture of the main attraction at the gardens – the reasonably enormous Koi carp.

Go on – take some time to relax and let your brain wind down. The Koi carp will be glad to see you.
