Surely you’ve got better things to do with your time?

Another story that seems to defy belief. In this day and age where we’re being told that security is paramount and that we all have to allow more searches and fewer civil liberties (all for the greater good, you understand), this seems like someone is pulling our collective legs.
Brad Jayakody, from London, was told by the over-officious security staff at Heathrow Terminal 5 that he could not board his flight as his T-Shirt had a picture of a Transformer on it, and the Transformer’s arm was a picture of a gun. He was forced to change his top before he was allowed onto his flight. Here’s a picture of Brad, wearing the offending article.

Come on BAA. Get a grip. It’s hard enough getting people to understand your position without your staff being stupid. Yes, that’s right, stupid. What threat is a T-Shirt? How offensive could anyone find this T-Shirt? We’re all in danger of turning our world into a parody of itself if we don’t wake up and smell the coffee.
If anyone from BAA reads this and fancies trying to explain/justify this stance, feel free to contact me. I just hope you’re very good at projecting your argument. Because I think this is an indefensible position.
And I’m pretty sure that Megatron (the offending armed-Transformer on the T-Shirt) would agree.
